The meeting of two worlds in the recording studio

VALAšSKé MEZUřIčí, ELEKTRïCK MANN, CZECH REPUBLIC, October 24, 2023 /EINPresswire.com/ — The world’s unknown hip-hop punk band Elektrïck Mann has recorded a single with Oscar-winning film composer Markéta Irglová. The new single is called “Problem” and is an entertaining statement from the band’s lead singer MC Mukas, about life’s problems, mistakes and a strong relationship.
“The song is about how a person can get into a situation where they realise their life isn’t quite what they imagined,” says MC Mukas. “When I was writing it, I was thinking about how important it is to have someone you can rely on and who will hold you up even when you make a mistake.”

As unlikely as the pairing of fierce hip-hop punk band Elektrïck Mann and folk-pop singer Markéta Irglová may seem, it’s not entirely unfathomable. Both performers grew up in the same environment, in the streets of the small town Valašské Meziříčí, and the music’s author of the music, Jiří Petřek, accompanied Markéta Irglová and Glen Hansard on bass guitar at concerts during the “Oscar period.”

“Although Markéta and I are friends, we met meet in the studio happened completely by chance,” comments Jiří Petřek on the making of the single. “We had written the music and lyrics long before the recording, but when we recorded the track, I realised that it was written for two voices. But there was no female singer on the horizon, so we wanted to postpone it… Later that night I saw on Instagram that Markéta was in Prague. It turned out that she lived a few blocks away from the studio, so the next afternoon she was already in the studio behind the microphone and it was done…”.
